Accessibility
We want every family to be able to find, learn about and buy our books, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, zoom or other assistive technology.

Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. It’s a goal we keep working toward, not a promise that every page is perfect.
What we’ve done
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and labels, so screen readers can find their way.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible outline showing where you are.
- Images have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and buttons are designed for strong color contrast, and buttons are large enough to tap easily.
- You can zoom in as far as you like. We never turn zoom off.
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
Known limitations
- Checkout is provided by Shopify, which runs its own accessibility program.
- Our PDF downloads are picture books made for printing and screens, and may not work well with screen readers. If you need the story text in another format, email us.
- Some videos don’t have captions yet. We’re adding them.
